Are You Waiting To File Your California Divorce
We’re nearing the end of December, we’re on December 20th. We’re just wrapping up the year here and I just want to talk to you a little bit about the fact that if you are waiting to file for divorce because many people do that’s why I’m bringing this up.
Seems that every year, right around thanksgiving people start to put off those things that they need to do such as getting a divorce and rightfully so I imagine during the holidays what people tell me is they want to wait until the holidays are over or they don’t want to mess up the holidays or upset the family any more than going through divorce is going to do.
But I would say that this year, being our third year in business has been one of our busiest parts of the year. I don’t know if it’s because our marketing is really grabbed the hold, we do get lots of referrals and so forth.
But our business continued to move right along, we did very well the fourth quarter of the year which is not traditional in this line of work or in legal services for that matter as relates to divorce.
I’m on the Los Angeles County Bar Association website where we, the attorneys and other people in the industry are commenting on the divorce process and their business and they have questions and things of that nature and all we’ve seen consistently, over the last couple of weeks and months are attorneys complaining about how slow it is.
And I find that very interesting because we had exactly the opposite happen this fourth quarter. We have had one of the more busy seasons which is good news for us and I think it goes to say that if people that are going through the divorce process don’t necessarily need an attorney and I think we’re really starting to get a lot of that business away from attorneys.
Because if they’re happen to be extremely slow during holidays and we are extremely busy, it just goes to show that if you are looking to get divorced there are other alternatives such as our firm to help you get through your divorce in California.
I just wanted to share that with you, if you have any questions please give me a call. We’d love to help you out. Keep in mind that there is what’s called a divorce season. It starts in January, all those folks that have held off beginning the fourth quarter after thanksgiving. All those people are going to be piling in January.
So, if you are one of those people that are waiting until January to file, just keep in mind, not only will you see delays with the courts but the people that you go to, to help you with your divorce are also will be extremely busy.
